Gugulethu Library for Literacy

Gugulethu has high unemployment and most families rely on government grants. The area around the school is severely under-resourced:

^{Since the school didn’t have a library or books, we partnered with Breadline Africa on a stand-alone pre-fabricated library building (our largest to date at 45 square meters).}

^{Alongside 3,000 English books, we partnered with African Folktales for Kids and African Storybook to provide over 300 age-appropriate books in Xhosa, the students’ first language.}
